This ritual was intended for those who did not die in combat. The Celts differed in one person and one part pure impure material or spiritual, so that through this ritual, intended to quickly remove the spirit from matter, incinerating the corpse with his goods on a funeral pyre or "ustrinum ". After the cremation, the ashes were collected and bones of the deceased, entering them directly into a hole or previously in an urn or ceramic bowl, next to it are deposited the remains of furnishings or personal belongings of the deceased, who had survived the fire: weapons, decorative items and utensils.
