In 1969 Juan Zozaya joined to the Numantian Museum (1970; 1971). He was the first archaeologist who took charge of the centre from Taracena transfer in 1936. The research and archaeological works began again in Numantia between 1970 and 1971. Zozaya centred his researches on medieval settlement. At the same time it was carried out the organization and the transformation of the Numantian Museum in Provincial Museum even if the testamentary clauses, established by D. Ramon Benito Aceña (his counsels) impeded to eliminate Numantian name.
