From Commission works to transfer of competences to Castilla y Leon government in 1985, only sporadic interventions were concluded in Numantia. So in 1963 F. Wattenberg realized a series of stratigraphic sections that gave important information about the phases of city occupation and about the order of its ceramics in opposite way as regards that realized before by Taracena. On the occasion of the “Commemoration of the 19th Centenary of Numantian epic” on November of 1967, the General Plan of Works in Numantia was taken into consideration of Spanish specialists met in Soria to celebrate this event. This plan was passed by the General Direction of Beautiful Arts in 1962and in it some basic necessity were put forward for its recovery. But this plan was reduced to some improvements that had not continuity.
